The Student Council at the College of Applied Sciences (Female Section) Holds an Introductory Meeting with the College Students

The Student Council of the College of Applied Sciences (Female Section) held its first (introductory) meeting with the college students on Tuesday, 4 Rajab 1442 A.H. (remotely). The meeting was presented by the President of the Student Council, the student Maha Al-Aqeel, and the Vice President of the Council, the student Najma Al-Fahmy. During the meeting, the two students introduced the Student Council, as well as its objectives and duties.

They also indicated that one of the most important roles played by the council is to actively contribute to educating male and female students about their rights and duties at the university, explaining how they can convey their views and suggestions to the college administration, Moreover, the council reviewed the council’s executive plan for this semester in the meeting, after their plan had been approved by the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, His Excellency Dr. Ismail Al-Thaqafi. The plan includes holding a number of courses and participating in international days and scientific discussion groups. Security and safety instructions were also indicated for attending laboratories safely, under the slogan: "We Cooperate, Not Tolerate", and the link to the Security and Safety Procedures Guide prepared by the college for the second semester was also publicized. The female students were allowed to ask questions, which were answered by the President of the Council and its members.

At the end of the meeting, the President of the Council thanked His Excellency the Dean of the College, Prof. Wael Al-Amoudi, for his support for the Student Council and his keenness to activate the council’s role in communicating the challenges and problems facing students, for them to be solved and overcome. She also expressed her appreciation to the Vice Dean of the College of Science, Dr. Tahani Bawazir, for her continuous support for her students at the college, and thanked the audience and the participants for attending the meeting.
