The Deanship of E-Learning and Distance Education at Umm Al-Qura University, in cooperation with 12 entities at the university, launched a specialized training program on educational systems. The program targets the academic staff members and students in each participating entity, and aims to raise the efficiency of the remote educational process and make maximum use of digital systems provided by the deanship, to support the continuation of the remote educational process.
The program includes 3 main training courses targeting the academic staff members of each entity, and a major training course for the students. It aims to enhance the skill of the academic staff and students in using educational systems, and train the academic staff members and university students on using the latest features and added tools available in the educational systems.
In its current stage, the program includes the following colleges, which are registered in the program:
His Excellency the Dean of E-Learning and Distance Education, Dr. Khalid bin Hatem Al-Mutairi, indicated that the targeted courses aim to meet the training needs of the various colleges, institutes, and centers at the university, and consolidate the work by applying the best practices in the field of e-learning to raise the quality of e-courses. Moreover, he expressed his thanks to the President of Umm Al-Qura University, Prof. Moaddi bin Muhammad Aal Madh-hab, for his unlimited support for the programs and activities of the deanship.
It is noteworthy that the deanship has informed all participating entities, through three official channels, to ensure that the attendance links and the training schedules for each entity are delivered, via the Administrative Communication System (Masar) to their excellencies the deans of the colleges, institutes and centers at the university, via the official e-mail of the participating authorities, and via the Administrative Communication System of the Ministry of Education (Rasel System) to all the employees of the participating entities. The specialized training program will be held over a period of three weeks, during the period 2–20 Rajab, 1442 A.H.
