The Student Council of the College of Applied Sciences (male section) held its first meeting with the college students on Wednesday, 28 Jumada Al-Thani, 1442 A.H. (remotely). The Head of the Student Council, Ammar Khalifah, moderated the meeting, in which he reviewed the council’s objectives and tasks.
He indicated that one of the most important roles the council plays is to actively contribute to keeping the students informed about their rights and duties at the university, and conveying their views and suggestions to the college administration. He also reviewed the council’s executive plan for this semester, after being approved by the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, His Excellency Dr. Ismail Al-Thaqafi. The plan includes holding a number of courses and participating in international days and scientific discussion groups. At the end of the meeting, the students were allowed to ask questions, which were then answered by the council president and members.
Finally, the Head of the Council thanked His Excellency the Dean of the College, Prof. Wael Al-Amoudi, for his support of the Student Council and his keenness to activate the council’s role in communicating the challenges and problems facing students, for them to be solved and overcome.
