The specialized training courses that will be presented by the Deanship of E-Learning in the coming weeks were launched on Monday 27th February 2017 (30th Jumada I 1438 H).
The beginning was with the Virtual Classroom Course which was presented by both Dr. Al-Asaad Qasim Al-Sumairani and Eng. Alaa Al-Din Jamal at the E-Learning Lab at the Abediyah-based King Abdullah Library. The course was attended by 27 staff members, most of whom were candidates for the Accredited Trainer Plan at the Deanship of E-Learning and Distance Education.
The course aimed to enable staff members to create new personal accounts in Adobe Connect, create, edit, manage, use and manage tools and archives of virtual classrooms, and edit recordings. The course included the following themes:
- Access to virtual classrooms, creation of a personal account, creation of a virtual classroom, and invitation for users to attend the virtual classroom.
-Explaining the program’s interface and layouts, sharing a presentation via the Virtual Classroom program, sharing the desktop, recording lectures and accessing the archive.
The course received a lot of attention from the audience who directly and practically used the e-learning management system offered by Umm Al-Qura University (UQU) to its affiliates and learned about the various tools of virtual classrooms.
