Within the program for the new students at the College of Applied Sciences for the academic year 1442 A.H., a course was held on 21 Muharram 1442 A.H. entitled, 'Safety in the Science Laboratories', in collaboration with the Deanship of E-Learning and Distance Education. The workshop was presented by a constellation of the college's academic staff members.

The course covered several themes. Dr. Muhammad Munjid lectured about safety in biology labs and the procedures that must be taken into consideration by students, especially during these exceptional conditions.

On his part, Prof. Saleh Abdul-Majeed spoke about security in the chemistry labs and the effects of various chemicals as well as the proper scientific methods to deal with them. Moreover, Prof. Saeed Muhammad Atiyyah reviewed the most important safety tips in the physics labs and what students should adhere to while performing practical experiments.

This training came within a series of courses offered by the college to raise the level and skills of students in various fields. The course witnessed a distinguished attendance of all the students of the Joint First Year in the college.
