The first day was dedicated to the employees of the Deanship of E-Learning and Distance Education, during which the opportunities and mechanisms that could be invested to implement the E-Learning System at the university were discussed. On the second day, a group of vice deans and academic staff members of the university were hosted to explore their experiences and future aspirations regarding the system, in addition to identifying future challenges and potential obstacles in this domain.

The deanship concluded the discussion workshop on its third day with a meeting between the Blackboard strategic expert and the leaders and heads of the departments of the Deanship of E-Learning. This was in order to decide on the broad features of the strategic plan for implementing the Blackboard E-Learning System.

His Excellency the Dean of E-Learning and Distance Education, Dr. Khalid bin Hatim Al-Mutairi, explained that this workshop aims at reinforcing one of the most important items of the strategic plan adopted by the deanship, which is providing a stimulating learning environment by exploiting e-learning techniques. It was necessary, for achieving this benefit, to establish implementation plans for the utilization of the E-learning System, according to clear and measurable strategic goals.
