In the presence of the Headmaster of the First Douqa Intermediate and Secondary School, Mr. Ahmad Balkhair Al-Sheikhi, and the teachers and students of the school, and under the auspices of the Dean of the College of Health Sciences in Al-Leith, His Excellency Dr. Tariq bin Abdullah Ahmad Zhafar, a health awareness-raising lecture was held on Coronavirus on Thursday, 6 February, 2020 A.C., at the Douqa First Intermediate and Secondary School, Al-Qunfudhah. During the lecture, students were introduced to the Coronavirus, ways of transmission of the disease, factors that help its transmission and spread, and measures for its prevention and control.
In addition to a PowerPoint presentation, there was a movie displaying ways to prevent and control the disease. The school students responded effectively and participated actively by answering questions related to the disease and ways to prevent it.
At the end of the lecture, the representative of the College of Health Sciences in Al-Leith, Dr. Al-Ash`ari Adam Eissa Hamdoun, thanked the Headmaster of Douqa First Intermediate and High School, His Excellency Mr. Ahmad Balkheir Al-Sheikhi, who in turn thanked the College of Health Sciences in Al-Leith.
