Within the framework of community partnership, following up on the health events and developments locally and globally, and the role of the college in community service, an event on Coronavirus was held under the honorable patronage of the Dean of the College of Health Sciences in Al-Leith, His Excellency Dr. Tariq bin Abdullah Ahmad Zhafar, and the Director of the Primary Health Care Center in Douqah Al-Thaniyah, His Excellency Mr. Ali Ibrahim Al-Tarahi, at Ibn Shihab Al-Zahri Primary and Intermediate School. This event took place on Tuesday, 10 Jumada Al-Thani, 1441 A.H.
The activities included an educative lecture on the newly-discovered Coronavirus, as well as the types and the development of the virus in the world. The spread of the virus in China and some other countries, the most important symptoms and ways the virus spreads, and the importance of prevention in light of the lack of treatment and vaccine so far were also tackled.
The event received a great response from the students and teachers at the school. The school administration thanked the participants from the College of Health Sciences in Al-Leith, and promised to continue fruitful cooperation in the future in order to raise health awareness and promote community health.
