The Dean of the College of Applied Sciences, Dr. Hatim bin Muhammad Al-Tas, received the annual report from the Head of the Department of Chemistry, Dr. Isma`il bin Ibrahim Al-Thaqafi, outlining the achievements of the department. The Dean of the College reviewed the report that documented the department's accomplishments, including its academic, research, and educational activities, as well as the scientific lectures that it presented. Moreover, the report highlighted the role played by the department in serving the university and the larger community, and touched on its vision, mission, goals, and summer training. The decisions and recommendations taken by the department for the academic year 1439–1440 A.H. were also listed.

The Dean of the College of Applied Sciences praised the great effort and achievements made by the Department of Chemistry, and wished further progress and success to its members. His Excellency expressed his appreciation for their continuous care and keenness in fulfilling the needs of the students in the college and the university as a whole.
