Faculty Dean Inaugurates “Scientific Research Methodology” Workshop

The Faculty Dean, Dr. Ahmed bin Omar Babelghaith, and the General Manager of Makkah Maternity & Children Hospital, Dr. Anas Abdulhamid Sadayo, inaugurated the workshop on “Scientific Research Methodology” held by the Faculty of Public Health and Informatics for doctors of the Hospital. The workshop, held from Sunday 25/06/1437 to Sunday 03/07/1437 Hijri, is organized as part of the corporate social responsibility of the Faculty.

The inauguration event was attended by Dr. Helal Al-Maleky, the Medical Assistant of the Hospital, Dr. Tahany Al-Matrafi, responsible for the Saudi Fellowship program in Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. Aziza Turkestani, Head of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department, and a number of the Faculty of Public Health and Informatics staff members and doctors of Makkah Maternity & Children Hospital.

The Faculty Dean, Dr. Ahmed bin Omar Babelghaith, discussed the importance of following a scientific approach in research, saying that “the Faculty, driven by its sense of social responsibility, organizes a number of lectures and workshops that aim at promoting public health, improving the provided health services, and protecting the society from diseases and epidemics through following the right scientific approach.”

The General Manager of Makkah Maternity & Children Hospital, Dr. Anas Abdulhamid Sadayo, expressed his gratitude to the Faculty of Public Health and Informatics, Umm Al-Qura University, noting that “sharing practical experience with Makkah Maternity & Children Hospital for development purposes is typical of Umm Al-Qura University.”

The one week workshop witnessed the participation of Faculty staff members with lectures on scientific research methodology, focusing on clinical research in hospitals.
