The College of Applied Sciences, under the auspices of the Vice Dean of the College, Dr. Rajaa bint Tahir Ma`touq, held an advanced training course on "Blackboard" on Sunday, 7 Safar, 1441 A.H., from 10:30 a.m. to 12: 30 a.m., at Al-Jifali Hall (3).
The course, which targeted female academic staff members, was entitled, "Basics of E-Learning (Blackboard)". This course was held in collaboration with the Deanship of E-Learning and Distance Education.
One of the best features of the Blackboard system is that it allows students and academic staff members to communicate with the curriculum outside the university walls, wherever and whenever they wish. The system provides several tools to browse educational content. Due to its several and various advantages, this course gave a detailed and thorough presentation of the topic.
The Vice Dean of the College, Dr. Rajaa Ma`touq, deputy heads of departments, and several academic staff members attended the event, which dealt with all that Blackboard Platform includes of information, e-services, and how to use it in many different fields.
The course gained the admiration of all the attendants, who expressed their thanks and gratitude to the Vice Dean of the College.
