UQU Internal Audit Group Checks Readiness of Business Administration College for Accreditation

Dr. Muhammad bin Jaafar Muhammad Thabet, Dean of University Development and Quality, and the Internal Audit Group at Umm Al-Qura University (UQU) paid an inspection visit to the College of Business Administration at the Abediyah Campus on Sunday 27th Safar 1438H. The visit aimed at checking the readiness of the Business Administration College for the AACSB and EPAS-EFMD and making sure that the requirements of the NCAAA were met.

Upon reaching the headquarters of the Business Administration College, the Group met with Dr. Sultan bin Ayed Saad al-Buqami, the Dean. Therefore, the visit started with an opening session presented by the Dean and Vice-Dean of the College, Dr. Suzan Wazan, Vice-Dean for Female Section, Heads of Academic Departments, as well as the Assistant Heads of Academic Departments at the Female Section. The group also watched a distinguished presentation about the College's readiness efforts for NCAAA, AACSB and EPAS-EFMD.

Afterwards, the Dean of University Development and Quality clarified that such visit was according to the Deanship's technical support visits plan. He noted also that the visit was under the umbrella of the generous directions by the President of Umm Al-Qura University (UQU), Dr. Bakri bin Maatouq Assas, and Dr. Hani bin Othman Ghazi,          Vice-President for Academic Development and Community Service.

In this context, Dr. Muhammad Thabet, Head of the Visiting Group, pointed out that the objectives of the visit included identifying the level of abidance by the NCAAA standards, extending support and advice, as well as making sure of the College's completion of and answering the BA affiliates'  queries regarding UQU AACSB and EPAS-EFMD.   

Then, the Group paid an inspection visit to the College and its utilities in order to perform the documentary check, observe facilities and preparations, and meet with male and female students and staff members of the College. The visit was fulfilled through tools that were previously prepared by the Deanship's experts for such purpose. This was evident as the visit involved all the five programs at the Male Section, in addition to three programs at the Female Section.

At the Male Section, the Visiting Group included Dr. Abdurrahman bin Nowaifii' Al-Salmi, Vice Dean of University Development and Quality, Dr. Mohammed bin Rizqallah al-Zahrani, Vice-Dean for Measurement and Assessment, as well as the consultants of the Deanship, Dr. Ahmad Qadri Bahlool, Dr. Wael Muhammad Ibrahim and Dr. Hossam Al-Dosouqy. Moreover, and among the visiting group, there were distinguished quality experts from UQU colleges:  Prof. Dr. Yassin Qarri, Vice Dean of the College of Da'wa 'Islamic Call' and Fundamentals of Religion, Prof. Dr. Tariq An-Najjar, Quality Coordinator at and Vice Dean of the College of Da'wa 'Islamic Call' and Fundamentals of Religion, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Abdulhadi, Quality Coordinator at the College of Arabic Language, as well as the Supervisor of the Vice-Deanship for Development and Academic Accreditation at the College of Pharmacy.  On the other hand, the Visiting Group at the Female Section included Dr. Suzan Bardis, Vice-Dean of University Development and Quality at the Female Section, Prof. Dr. Amal Owais, from the University College at Al-Leith, and Prof. Dawlah Al-Salmi, Teaching Assistant at Deanship of University Development and Quality (Female Section).

At the end of the visit, the Dean of University Development and Quality, and the Head of the Internal Audit Group at Umm Al-Qura University (UQU) delivered a brief report of the visit. He also promised to deliver a detailed report about the level of all the College's programs. He extended thanks to the Dean of the Business Administration College and all the College's affiliates for their efforts in cooperation with the Visiting Group. Such cooperation had a positive influence on harmony, positivity and cooperation climate at work.
