The University Vice President for Female Student Affairs Launches the Scientific Posters Exhibition for the Graduation Projects

Under the patronage of Her Excellency the Vice President for Female Student Affairs, Dr. Sarah bint Omar Al-Khuli, and in the presence of Her Excellency the Dean of University Studies for Girls, Dr. Hala bint Sa`id Al-Amoudi, the Vice Dean of University Studies, Dr. Faridah Al-Ghamdi, the Vice Dean of the College of Applied Sciences and deputy heads of the departments, the "scientific posters exhibition of the graduation projects of students from the College of Applied Sciences" was launched on Tuesday, 4 Sha`ban, 1440 A.H. This event was attended by a great number of the academic staff, labs technicians, and a large number of female students from different departments. Posters were reviewed, and the attendants listened to a detailed explanation from the female students about each poster. The event also included four additional sections: chemistry, physics, biology, and mathematics.

The chemistry section dealt with two topics: criminology and toxicology. The physics section tackled several topics; the most important of which were high heels and their bad effects on the body, as well as information about magnetic resonance imaging. The biology section dealt with natural indoor plants and their great benefits that produce a clean and healthy life and environment. The last section was the mathematics, which dealt with the importance of mathematics and its history in different ages, such as the Greek and Islamic ages, as well as the achievements of their prominent scholars.

The exhibition gained the approval and good response from the attendants, who praised the efforts the female students exerted and the invaluable information they offered.

The event was covered by the Media Committee at the College under the supervision of Ms. Rajaa Abdul-Wahhab Nuqali and a group of female students: Rahaf Al-Aqili, Nour Bahadad, Fairouz Yar, and Arij Al-Sayed.
