The session was held under the theme "Effective "Lecture" and presented by Professor of Epidemiology Hamed Adetunji.

He has also discussed the meaning of the word "lecture".

During the lecture, the professor gave a presentation on the student's opinions about attractive points of their teachers and views of some lecturers on the teaching. The feedback reflected importance of the teacher's respect to students and the way he deals with the subject.

He reviewed few examples on mistakes that may be committed by less effective teachers. He gave a ten-point list for theses mistakes: lack respect for student, setting no objectives for lecture, calling the student names from a list, forgetting names, only listen for volunteers in discussions, poor preparation, short-listed agenda, bad time management, disconnection between the lecture and reality, using no audio or visual tools and abandon the blended learning strategies.

Finally, the attendees held discussions on some titles covered in the lecture: lecturing technique variability (especially the interactive method), the necessity of keeping in touch with the student feedbacks on the subject and means of improvement, the importance of helping students to get out all their potentials and the necessity of overcoming challenges, especially the language barrier which could be broken through using audio and visual tools and changing the teaching technique.
