As part of the training program of the Deanship of E-Learning and Distance Education, and as part of the courses to explain the e-learning system programs the academic staff, a training course on e-tests was held on Thursday, 21 Rabi` Al-Awwal 1440 A.H., corresponding to 29 November 2018, from 10:00 am till 12:00 pm. The training course was held in the training hall at the Deanship of E-Learning and Distance Education at the University City in Al-Abdiyah, by Dr. Adil Balsadiq and Dr. Usamah Al-Jarari. A group of academic staff from different colleges and educational institutes attended the course.
The course instructors gave an introduction about the importance and characteristics of electronic tests, the grading management program, and how to use the survey tools and the question bank. They focused on how to conduct the electronic test, how to use the grading tool until automatic correction is introduced, and how to put the score automatically in the field assigned to it in the grade book without the manual intervention of the teacher, enabling students to know their grades automatically.
It is worth mentioning that the various training programs of the Deanship of E-Learning include topics within the e-learning system, as well as topics related to the use of technology in the educational process. There were also courses offered about the Open Educational Resources Platform (SHMS), with the support of His Excellency the Dean of E-Learning and Distance Education, Dr. Khalid Al-Mutairi, and Dr. Yasser Al-Hazimi, the Vice-Dean of Academic Development and Community Service.
