In the framework of helping the faculty members gain skills in the field of educational design, the Deanship of E-Learning and Distance Education organized the course "Fixed Info-graphic Design", on Thursday, 22 March 2018, corresponding to 5 Ragab 1439 AH, at the e-learning lab in King Abdullah Library of Al-Abediya. It was presented by Eng. Ashraf Ibrahim and Eng. Mohammed Al-Ruwaini, from the deanship.
In his introduction to the concept of info-graphic, Eng. Ashraf pointed out that info-graphic is an English term (a blending of information and graphic). Generally, any graphs or designs that have information or statistics on a certain topic in a way makes that information understandable to the reader are called info-graphic, namely, any representation of information by graphics can be classified as info-graphic.
Also, info-graphic can be defined as a transformation of a certain quantity of information complex text information into pictures, graphs and texts so that the reader can understand the main idea of the topic easily and quickly.
After the presentation, the two trainers presented the basic skills that allow the faculty member to prepare a resume in the form of info-graphic through the website (picktochart.com). They also explained all the available tools in this website, whether preparing a new design or editing an existing one; in addition to explaining various programs and websites that help to design.
