Dr. Bakri bin Matouq Assas, Umm Al-Qura University (UQU) President, visited the College of Health Sciences in Al-Lith province, on Tuesday 3/6/1439 AH. He was accompanied Dr. Tareq bin Abdullah Ahmed Zafar, the college dean; the vice deans; heads of the departments; and heads of supporting departments and units. The visit aimed at following up the functioning of the college, identifying the students and faculty members' needs and listening to their suggestions that could help to develop the academic and educational process. During the visit, UQU President took a tour of the microbiology lab, biochemistry lab, research lab, classrooms, computer lab and the library. Also, the college dean explained to Dr. Bakri how the college's departments as well as the academic plans developed; in addition to the maintenance and addition that the college has recently witnessed, which helped to provide an educational and academic environment that achieves the efficient learning requirements for the male and female students.
Thereafter, Dr. Bakri met with the faculty members of the college; stressing on the importance of their roles to promote the student's level as well as the use of modern technology in the educational process. He clarified that every faculty member burdens the heavy responsibility towards providing a special educational environment inside the classrooms. Finally, he praised the achievements and development in the educational process as well as the use of modern technology in the work environment.
For his part, Dr. Tarek bin Abdullah Zafar lauded the attention, support and motivation that UQU and its branches in the province receive from Dr. Bakri through his annual visits to Al-Lith province; in addition to his attention and keenness on following up all the college's programs, outputs and activities.
