Dr. Bakri bin Matouq Assas, Umm Al-Qura University (UQU) President, today, Sunday 11 Muharram 1439 AH, read the training portfolio of the Health Sciences College in Al-Lith for the internship year students, and in the presence Dr. Tarek bin Abdullah Ahmed Zafar, dean of the Health Sciences College in Al-Lith; the latter explained in details the guide and its contents to the UQU President.
The UQU President said that the quality and specificity are very important to provide a scientific environment for the citizens of this nation so as to reap outputs with high competencies in the field and specialization which they studied. He praised the work plan adopted by the College of Health Sciences; in addition to its solid programs in the field of scientific research and services that are offered in community service.
The dean elaborated that the guide has a version of the regulations and rules, and another includes the skills needed during the internship year, which help the student gain the necessary cognitive skills. He confirmed that the training portfolio was distributed on all the internship year students at the College's Public Health Department, as well as all the hospitals of the Health Ministry and the medical cities; pointing out that the College conducts weekly field visits on those hospitals to see the conduct of the training of students. The dean added that the internship year student delivers the skills book at the end of training to the College, in which they document every skill acquired from the hospital where they trained.
Dr. Tarek Zafar praised the support and attention of Dr. Bakri, UQU President, and his keenness on following up all the programs and activities of the college.
