Represented by the Deanship of Development and Quality, UQU Vice Presidency of Development and Entrepreneurship is implementing a training program through the academic year 1438/1439 AH for participation in the writing and drafting of the strategic plan of the University. In this context, the Deanship has carried out the first training program for UQU students. This course comes as part of a number of courses provided to UQU students to take part in the writing and drafting of the University’s strategic plan.
The course was presented by His Excellency Dr. Ayman bin Khaled Johargy, Dean of the College of Nursing, who is also an international expert and certified trainer in the area of strategic planning. The course focused on the importance and role of all UQU sectors and staff in mapping the future plan of the University through strategic planning. This is in addition to the steps that should be followed, starting with the stage of planning to plan, and how to form the strategic planning team. Then, it moved to the analysis; the discussion of strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and challenges; and the measuring of performance indicators, to eventually set an implementation plan. Students of health and medical colleges participated in this course.
It should be noted that this is the 11th of the courses provided by the Deanship in this academic year – 1439/1440 AH – for preparing and training 570 of UQU affiliates to participate in strategic planning writing and drafting: around 200 employees; 170 students; and 200 faculty members.
