In the context of ensuring a successful partnership between the Deanship of E-Learning and Distance Education; the English Language Center; and the College of Islamic Economics and Finance at Umm Al-Qura University, the Deanship has devoted this week to the providing of technical support under the title “Virtual Classrooms.”
This activity aims at overcoming all the difficulties that students and faculty members may face in the process of distance education, with regard to teaching the English language course. The Deanship, with its two sections, has sought to open up all avenues so this one-of-a-kind process can succeed in terms of material and human potential, under the supervision of His Excellency Dean of E-Learning and Distance Education and Her Excellency Vice Dean of E-Learning, Female Section.
It is worth noting that an orientation meeting was offered to students, and a training course was provided to faculty members last Thursday. The meeting involved an explanation of the virtual classroom tool that allows the faculty member to create a virtual room that enables students to log in from wherever they are, and enables them to participate with their colleagues and the faculty member. Moreover, every student was handed a guide that clearly explains to them how to use the virtual classroom tool.
