In cooperation with the UQU English Language Center, the Deanship of E-Learning and Distance Education organized a training course on “Virtual Classrooms” for the Center’s staff members. The course was held on Thursday 25th January 2018 (8th Jumada I 1439H) at 11:00am-01:00pm at the E-learning Laboratory in King Abdullah Library,the Abediyah-based University City. It was also presented by both Dr. Osama Al-Jarary and Eng. Alaa Jamal from the Deanship of E-Learning and Distance Education.
It is worth mentioning that the course dealt with the significance and distinction of e-learning in comparison to traditional learning. Then, the E-Learning Portal was introduced. Moreover, the method to access the portal and its most significant available tools were presented.
In the same context, the focus was on the tool of Virtual Classrooms. Such tool allowed staff members to create a virtual room accessible by students for remote follow up of and participation in lectures.
