The UQU President, Dr. Bakri Matouq Assas, issued an order to the concerned authorities within UQU to supply the labs of College of Applied Sciences and the Department of Islamic Engineering and Architecture with all technical requirements and equipment to comply with the international academic accreditation standards. He also ordered for the arrangements to made to receive the external reviewers of ASIIN in December 2017.
Those orders were issued in the meeting Assas held at his office in Abbideya campus. Present were the Vice-president for Development and Entrepreneurship, Dr. Hani Ghazi, the Vice-president of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Dr. Thamir bin Hamdan Al-Harbi, the Dean of Academic Development and Quality, Dr. Mohamed bin Jaffar Thabit, the Dean of College of Applied Sciences, Dr. Waleed Altaf, the vice-deans of academic development and quality, vice-deans of college of Applied Sciences, the Vice-dean of Community Service and Continued Education, Dr. Jameel Al-Salfi, officials from College of Islamic Engineering and Architecture, and operation and maintenance technicians.
Within the same context, Assas reiterated that UQU does its best to provide all the technical and financial support to all colleges and scientific departments in order to be shoulder to shoulder with the most prestigious universities in the world and obtain international academic accreditation in the related fields.
He also reiterated the importance of scheduling the needs of College of Applied Sciences and Islamic Architecture department and executing the related actions for obtaining international academic accreditation. He pointed out that 27 UQU programs have already been granted international accreditation.
During the meeting, Assas presented the ASIIN visit program to the Vice-president for Development and Entrepreneurship, Dr. Hani Ghazi, and the Dean of Academic Development and Quality, Dr. Mohamed bin Jaffar. He also briefed attendance on the latest arrangements by the Vice-presidency for Development and Entrepreneurship.
Assas lauded the efforts of the Vice-president for Development and Entrepreneurship, Dr. Hani Ghazi, and the Dean of Academic Development, Dr. Mohamed Jaffar Thabit, in the field of academic accreditation and in preparing the related executive program and strategy. He also thanked the Dean of College of Applied Sciences, Dr. Waleed Altaf, and the Dean of College of Islamic Engineering and Architecture, Dr. Hamza Ghalman, for his efforts in this respect.
