Scientific Meetings at the College of Applied Sciences for the Second Semester 1438H
Within the series of scientific meetings organized by the College of Applied Sciences, a scientific meeting was held for the Department of Physics
on Wednesday, 29th Rajab 1438H
titled:
"Structural and Spectral Characterization of Solid Oxides,"
Presented by: Dr. Adel Madani
Associate Professor at the Department of Physics.
The lecture was held in the presence of Dr. Walid bin Jamil Altaf (Dean of the College of Applied Sciences), the Vice-Deans, a number of Abediyah staff members, as well as some Az-Zahir and Azizyah female staff members, Dr. Adel Madani addressed the structural and spectral characterization of metal oxides and the application thereof on solid oxide fuel cells (SOFC).
At the beginning of the meeting, types of structural characterization were defined, while the method to use X-ray to characterize materials with their structural and magnetic properties was emphasized.
The meeting also included an introduction to the technology of high-resolution nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) as an alternative and addition to the analysis of materials intractable by X-ray. It also reviewed the composite impedance spectral technology and its uses in SOFC.
After the meeting, a scientific discussion took place between the attendees and Dr. Adel Madani on this subject.
At the end of the scientific meeting, Dr. Adel Madani was honored and was given a certificate of thanks and appreciation for his participation in the presentation of such meeting.
