In its pursuit to increase the efficiency of faculty members, and encourage exchange of experiences in the various health sciences, the UQU College of Public Health and Health Informatics organized a lecture on Monday, Rajab 20, 1438H, corresponding to April 17, 2017, under the theme: "Safety Culture". The lecture was given by Dr. Ubeidullah S. al-Lehiani, expert of occupational health, certified safety trainer, and manager of the College Dean's Office. Present were the supervisors of departments, as well as a constellation of the College's faculty members.

After a brief introduction, in which Dr. Al-Lehiani underscored the importance of promulgating the safety culture and prevention of occupational risks, he highlighted that workers should keep an eye on the occupational environment in which they work, and report any damage to any of the safety appliances and systems of the building, and place particular emphasis on damages affecting electrical connections, electric devices, and electronics, as well as labs, etc.

He stressed that early reporting to the UQU technical support team provides a better chance for solving the reported problem, and avoiding the severe damages that might take place as a result of it, such as fire, or full damage of devices.

It followed that he displayed the UQU Technical Support Website, and explained how to log into it through a UQU account. He showed attendees, also, how to report a problem, explain its details, and receive a response by email or SMS. He went on to say that reporting a problem discharges the reporter of its responsibility, and provides an evidence that s/he shouldered the responsibility to perfection.

Towards the end of the lecture, the importance of this topic was reiterated by the attendees, who called for a series of such lectures on safety, and evacuation in emergency cases such as fire, etc.
