The first Scientific meeting

The 1st Annual Meeting of the Saudi Toxicology Society was organized in collaboration with the Saudi Toxicology Society, Umm Al-Qura University – Faculty of Medicine, Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology, and the Virtual Medical Academy. The meeting was held from 3–5 July 2021, from 04:00 PM to 11:00 PM, and was accredited for 21 CME hours.

The main focus of the meeting was to provide an updated overview of toxicology science and clinical poisoning management. Its objectives included defining toxicology, describing the management approach for poisoned patients with different clinical cases, clarifying toxicity signs, and reviewing the latest updates in toxicology science. The event targeted physicians, healthcare professionals, and students, aiming to enhance professional knowledge, improve clinical decision-making, and strengthen awareness of modern approaches in the diagnosis and management of toxicological cases.


The Second Scientific meeting

The 2nd Annual Meeting of the Saudi Toxicology Society (STS) was held from 1–3 November 2022 as a hybrid event, and was accredited for 24 CME hours. The meeting focused on Forensic Toxicology and Doping Control, with the opening ceremony held on Tuesday, 1 November, from 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the Four Points by Sheraton, Makkah, Saudi Arabia.

The scientific objectives included discussing the challenges facing Saudi Arabia and the wider world regarding the abuse of narcotics and psychotropic substances, reviewing updates on new psychoactive substances (NPS/designer drugs), addressing sports doping in forensic toxicology, and presenting advanced techniques for the detection and analysis of narcotics, psychotropics, and doping drugs. The meeting targeted physicians, healthcare professionals, students, toxicologists, and forensic specialists, aiming to strengthen expertise in forensic toxicology, drug detection, and doping control within clinical and public health contexts.

The 3rd Annual Meeting of the Saudi Toxicology Society (STS): Toxicology Updates was held on 16 March 2023, from 08:00 AM to 06:00 PM, at ICRS, Umm Al-Qura University, Makkah. The meeting was accredited for 8 CME hours by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties.

The main focus of the event was to provide participants with up-to-date knowledge in the field of toxicology, covering major areas including clinical toxicology, forensic toxicology, environmental toxicology, and analytical toxicology. The target audience included professionals from medicine and surgery, pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, laboratories and medical technology, technicians, and health assistants. The meeting aimed to strengthen multidisciplinary toxicology knowledge, enhance professional awareness, and support updated practice in the diagnosis, analysis, and management of toxicological issues.


The Fouth Scientific meeting

The 4th Annual Scientific Meeting of the Saudi Toxicology Society: Clinical Toxicology and Toxicological Sciences was held from 28–30 April 2024 at Umm Al-Qura University, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. The meeting was planned for 24 CME hours and focused on recent advances and innovations across different areas of toxicology.

Its main themes included the latest updates in clinical toxicology, particularly innovations in the diagnosis and management of the poisoned child, the contribution of forensic toxicology to maintaining security in society, and the importance of quality and standardization in toxicological analysis. The meeting also explored new trends in molecular toxicology, immunotoxicology, environmental toxicology, and occupational toxicology. The event targeted health practitioners and students, aiming to enhance knowledge, improve toxicological practice, and promote multidisciplinary collaboration in clinical and scientific toxicology.


The fifth Scientific meeting

The 5th Annual Meeting of the Saudi Toxicology Society (STS) was held online from 27–28 September 2025, from 04:00 PM to 10:00 PM, and was accredited for 10 CME hours. The meeting was organized in collaboration with Umm Al-Qura University, the Saudi Toxicology Society, and the Virtual Medical Academy, under the theme “Frontiers in Toxicology: Clinical, Forensic and Healthcare Applications.”

The scientific objectives focused on presenting the latest research in clinical, forensic, and environmental toxicology, critically evaluating scientific evidence related to apitherapy safety, highlighting toxicology challenges in Saudi Arabia including camel-derived products and new psychoactive substances (NPS), and discussing the role of omics technologies in predicting toxicity and understanding mechanisms. The meeting also aimed to strengthen cooperation between Saudi and international experts to link scientific research with clinical practice and policy-making. The target audience included students, members of the Saudi Toxicology Society, and all healthcare providers, with the overall aim of advancing toxicology knowledge and supporting evidence-based toxicological practice.
