On Monday, 28/06/1438 H (27/03/2017), College of Public Health and Informatics held a symposium titled "Regulations for Internship and Post-graduation Period". The event started with verses of the Holy Quran recited by the student, Ismail Minyar, followed by an address of the supervisor of the vice-deanship for Hospital Affairs, Dr. Ahmed Abdullah Othman, in which he gave an overview of the training programs at health centers, hospitals, and other sectors including, Municipalities and Rural Affairs and Holy Makkah Municipality. The representative of the Training and Scholarship Center of the Health Affairs Directorate in Makkah, Mr. Talha Musa Hawsawi addressed the center's role in supervising students during internship period, pointing out to some of the rights and duties of trainees till the end of internship. Later, Hawsawi answered some questions from attendees before a breakfast break.

Next, Dr. Obiedullah Al-Lehyani addressed the ideal mechanism of application for health jobs in both public and private sector. He tackled CV writing and how to effectively pass professional interviews.

This was followed by an address from the Head of Graduates Unit Committee, Dr. Ali Al-Shahri, who illustrated the unit's objectives and role in and out college. He also talked about the college role in connecting graduates with employers and the mechanism of maintaining connection with students after graduation.  Finally, he encouraged students to communicate with the Graduates Unit headed by Mr. Youssef Azhar.

The Dean, Dr. Wahib bin Dakhilullah Al-Harbi concluded the event with remarks on some of the topics addressed in the symposium and then answered a number of student questions along with Dr. Obiedullah Al-Lehyani, Dr. Ali Al-Shahri, and the supervisor of the vice-deanship for Hospital Affairs, Dr. Ahmed Abdullah. At the end, graduates posed for commemorative photos with the Dean and faculty members. Attendees left the event with a new bright perspective on internship and training at hospitals.
