College of Public Health and Health Informatics participated on Wednesday Rabie Al-Thani 19, 1438 H corresponding to January 18, 2017 and Sunday Rabie Al-Thani 23, 1438 H corresponding to January 22, 2017 in the events of the Quality Week in the Health Field organized by Ajyad Emergency Hospital in collaboration with the Health Affairs Directorate in Makkah.
During the event, Dr. Disouqi Alaam presented tow scientific lectures the first one was about the patients' safety in which he introduced and classified medical errors and their scientific reporting methods besides the concepts and forms of the quality culture and ways of its implementation in the healthcare sector, while the second lecture that took place on Sunday was bout the medical ethics and the legal responsibility of the physicians in addition to the medical licenses. The lecture which was attended by the Director of Ajyad hospital and the physicians and nurses, covered four cases of medical ethics.
Further, Dr. Tahir Mohamed Abdul Rahim presented a scientific lecture on quality awareness.
Additionally, the 3rd year's female students of the Department of Health Awareness and Promotion presented a lecture to the members of the nursing and technician staff of the Hospital on the importance of hand washing in preventing spread of diseases and explained the scientific hand washing method on Wednesday January 18, 2017.
This contribution comes as part of the endeavors of the College of Public Health and Health Informatics to promote health awareness in the hospitals of the Ministry of Health and one of the activities and events undertaken by the college to serve the community.
