The College of Public Health and Health Informatics organized an introductory meeting on the services of the Deanship of Scientific Research at the university. This was part of the development activities of the male and female members of the teaching staff of the College of Public Health and Health Informatics, making use of the available resources of Umm Al-Qura University. The meeting took place on Monday, 23 Jumada Al-Thani, 1441 A.H., corresponding to 17 February 2020 A.C., in the presence of a delegation from the Deanship of Scientific Research.

The college hosted His Excellency Dr. Muhammad bin Shukri Al-Sufi, Dean of Scientific Research at Umm Al-Qura University, in the presence of the Vice Deanship for Research Chairs, Dr. Abdullah Al-Ghamdi, and the Vice Deans Dr. Hanadi Al-Bihairi and Dr. Sumayyah Al Sharaf. The meeting was also attended by college vice deans, department heads, and a group of faculty members.

Dr. Al-Sufi talked about the services the deanship provides to the male and female members of the teaching staff, to introduce the deanship and its services and spread the culture of scientific research. His Excellency also spoke about the research scholarships, courses and workshops offered by the deanship. His Excellency touched on how to raise the ranking of the university globally, by publishing scientific work in the most prestigious international scientific journals.

At the end of the meeting, the college expressed its thanks and appreciation to the Dean of Scientific Research and his accompanying delegation for their attendance and for answering the researchers’ inquiries. The college presented a memorial shield to express the college's gratitude for the rich discussion presented by the guest.
