In collaboration with the Makkah Education General Department with its male and female sections, and the direct supervision of Dr. Waheeb ibn Dukhailallah Alharbi, the Public Health and Health Informatics College took part in a campaign raising awareness about diabetes and obesity. The campaign kicked off on Wednesday, December 28th, 2016.
The College’s interest in participating in such a campaign emanates from its belief in serving and educating the society to get it medically cultivated. The campaign’s program featured a lecture on diabetes: its type and symptoms, ways of prevention and its link to obesity. It also involved conducting a blood sugar test and measuring the blood pressure for the attendance. Awareness bulletins about the diabetes and obesity were distributed, as well as giving medical and educational tips on diabetes. The campaign witnessed the participation of Dr. Mohammed Usama Nur, Dr. Salaheldin Mohammed A’alawanah, Dr. Fawazy Omar Alameen, Dr. Leila Suleiman Abdulrahman and Dr. Naziq Mubark Hassan., in addition to a number of the students of the College’s Awareness and Health Enhancement Department. And the valuable information provided by the campaign’s work team appealed to the attendance.
At the end of the campaign, the Public Health and Health Information College was honored, and thank-you certificates were handed out to the participants
