The College of Public Health and Health Informatics at Umm Al-Qura University, represented by the Department of Health Promotion and Education, participated with the Infection Control Unit at King Faisal Hospital in Makkah Al-Mukarramah in the activities of the "International Infection Prevention Week (IIPW)", under the slogan, "A Clean and Healthy Environment Prevents Infection".
College participation included several educative corners in different places in the hospital, informing workers at the hospital about the importance of using personal protective equipment, washing hands, and having the required vaccines.
The college participated in a number of days during the educative week, which began on Thursday, 17 October, 2019 A.C., and will last till Thursday, 24 October, 2019 A.C.
The Head of the Infection Control Unit and the workers at the unit visited the female students' corners, and praised their distinction and the rich information about the content of the activity.
College participation in these activities springs from the belief of its officials, affiliates and students about the importance of its role in educating and serving the community. This activity was held under the supervision of Dr. Eman Abu Sair and and Dr. Laila Sulaiman.
