The College of Public Health and Health Informatics Participates with the Public Health Club in First Aid Activities

The UQU College of Public Health and Health Informatics participated with the Public Health Club of the Deanship of Student Affairs in holding first aid training courses under the title of "Be a Paramedic", which were held in the general education schools in Makkah. The activities were held at the following four secondary schools for boys and girls in the Makkah region: Al-Falah Secondary School for Boys, Talha Bin Obaidallah Secondary School, the 16th Secondary School for Girls, and the 37th Secondary School for Girls.

The events started on Wednesday, 3 Safar 1441 A.H., corresponding to 2 October 2019, and lasted until Monday, 8 Safar 1441 A.H., corresponding to 9 October 2019. These training events offered awareness lectures on the basics of first aid, in addition to practical and training application on some sample cases. The first aid activities were attended by His Excellency Dr. Salah Al-Din Muhammad Alawana, His Excellency Dr. Muhammad Usamah Nur, His Excellency Dr. Fawzi Omar Al-Amin, Her Excellency Dr. Iman Abu Sir, Her Excellency Dr. Laila Sulaiman Al-Fikki, Her Excellency Prof. Manar Al-Nadwi, as well as several students of the UQU College of General Health and Health Informatics.

The heads of the schools praised the role undertaken by the UQU College of Public Health and the Public Health Club, and their tangible efforts in serving and promoting the health of the Makkah community in particular, and the health of the Saudi society at large.

On his part, His Excellency the Dean of the College of Public Health and Health Informatics, Dr. Ahmad bin Omar Babalgith, pointed to the importance of cooperative partnerships aimed at raising the awareness of the community, especially in public education schools.
