Dr. Hasan Tayyib, the Assistant Professor of Transportation and Traffic Engineering at the UQU Department of Civil Engineering, and the Makkah Cyclist Team discuss a study on safe bicycle routes on public roads in the Municipality of Makkah Al-Mukarramah.
His Excellency Eng. Muhammad Al-Quwaihes, the Mayor of Holy Makkah Municipality, commended the initiative. The study contributes to improving traffic safety for road users, encouraging the use of bicycles as a means of transportation inside the cities, improving public health, and reducing traffic congestion and pollution, thereby aiming at realizing the Saudi Vision 2030.
Dr. Hasan Tayyib thanked Dr. Muhammad Alawi, the Head of the Department of Civil Engineering, and Dr. Ahmad Al-Ahmadi, the Dean of the College of Engineering, for their care and continuous support. He asked Allah, the Almighty, to grant them success and support.
