The UQU College of Public Health and Health Informatics organized an educating campaign about healthy food and psychological health on Wednesday, 13 Rabi` Al-Awwal, 1440 A.H., corresponding to 21 November, 2018 A.C., in Al-Zahir Campus. The campaign was attended by the Dean of Female Student Affairs, Dr. Khulud Abu Al-Naga.
The second- and third-year students of the Department of Health Education and Promotion participated in the campaign under the supervision and with the coordination of Dr. Nazik Mubarak Hasan, and with the participation of Dr. Iman Abu Sir and Ms. Abir Al-Qurashi. During this campaign, many corners were set up. The healthy food corners covered the following topics: diet and physical activity, food allergy, culture and its relationship with diet, and vegetarian and adolescent nutrition.
The psychological health corners covered the following topics: Mood disorders, the stigma of mental health, social phobia, anxiety disorder, schizophrenia, and the misuse of drugs.
