The College of Public Health and Health Informatics organized Scabies Awareness and Educational Campaign in partnership with the Unit of Programs and Activities in the Deanship of Preparatory Year, in the presence of the Dean of College of Public Health and Health Informatics Dr. Waheeb bin Dakheelullah Al-Harbi and the Head of the Units of Programs and activities in the Deanship of Preparatory year Dr. Osama Salem. The campaign lasted for two days on Thursday Rajab 26, 1439 H, and Sunday Rajab 29, 1439 H. The campaign comes within the campaigns launched by the College of Public Health and Health Informatics on Monday Rajab 23, 1439 H corresponding to April 9, 2018 and included several branches of the university in Azizia, Abdyia, Al-Zahir, Al-Shisha, Rea Zhakhir and Al-Mansour Street.
The campaign witnessed participation of Dr. Salahulddin Mohamed Alawna, Dr. Mohamed Osama Nour, Dr. Fawzy Omar Al-Ameen, Dr. Khalil Ismail, Dr. Al-Tayeb Saeed from the departments of Health Awareness and Promotion and Epidemiology and about 30 students from the college.
The campaign included several corners as following; awareness corner on scabies, causes of the diseases and ways of its transmission, treatment, and prevention, corner about the proper way to wash hands and prevent microbes, Audio Visual awareness corner about the disease, diagnostic corner to check the suspected cases by the consultants and physicians.
The campaign targeted all students in the preparatory year in all the buildings of the deanship of preparatory year to achieve the sought-after objectives of the campaign and provide the needed benefit for the students in addition to controlling the disease.
