College of Health Sciences Holds Orientation Session for Freshmen

Under the auspices of the Dean of Public Health and Health Informatics, Dr. Wahib bin Dukhailallah Al-Harbi, an orientation session was held on Monday, 5/1/1439 H (25/9/2017) at Prince Faisal bin Fahd Hall.

The event commenced with recitation of Quranic verses, followed by a speech delivered by the Vice-dean of Educational Affairs, Dr. Ali Al-Shahri, in which he welcomed new students and gave an overview of the different college departments and student rights and duties. Al-Harbi elaborated on student affairs, including: absence, attendance, postponement, apology and public appearance on campus. He also addressed extracurricular activities available under supervision of the Deanship of Student Affairs.

Continuing his speech, Al-Harbi stressed the importance of specialties available in college to community. He advised that students should engage in continued self-development, noting that college offers them development capabilities, distinguished cadre of teachers, trainers, courses, and advanced classrooms. The speech was followed by Q&A then the Dean thanked attendance, event organizers, faculty members and staff. Later, everyone joined the breakfast buffet prepared specially for the occasion.

At the end of the event, department heads accompanied new students on a tour to faculty members' offices, classrooms, and labs.
