The College of Public Health and Health Informatics, represented by its Dean, Dr, Ahmed Bin Omar Babalghith, and the Vice-Deanship for Hospitals Affairs Supervisor, Dr. Ahmed Othman, in collaboration with the staff members, participated in the events of the World Day of Safety and Health that were held at King Abdullah Medical Center in North Jeddah. The events took place on Wednesday and Thursday, Rajab 20 and 21, 1437H, under the theme “Safety is Everyone’s Mission”.
In this regard, Dr. Babalghith stated that the World Day for Safety and Health at Work is an annual international campaign aims at improving work environment to become safer and healthier. Further, he highlighted that the culture of occupational safety and health should be promoted at all levels, and the principle of “Prevention is Better that Cure” should be given the highest priority.
As the events came to an end, Dr. Babalghith extended thanks to the Executive Director of King Abdullah Medical Center, Ms. Abeer Al-Shahri, for her kind hospitality and her efforts in implementing the social programs at the college, under the generous support that the UQU President, Dr. Bakri Maatouq Bin Assas, provide to the various activities and programs of the college.
