The Scientific Committee welcomes your participation in the Fourth Scientific Meeting of Saudi Toxicology Society for Clinical Toxicology and Toxicological Sciences and encourages colleagues to submit their distinguished original and unpublished works in all areas of toxicological sciences and in particular clinical toxicology relevant to conference theme.
Application can be made for participation in:

  •  Lectures (Oral Presentation) 

  • Scientific Posters Prospective speakers can submit only abstracts

  • full papers as conference proceeding papers 

All abstracts will be published in the Meetting booklet, and those submitted as full-length papers will also be published in the meeting book.

All abstracts submitted must fulfil the following requirements:

  • It must be written either in English.
  •  It must include the full names of the authors and their affiliation, e-mail addresses and contact information.
  •  The abstract must follow the following requirements:
  •  It must be typewritten (Times New Roman) in Microsoft word.
  •  Abstract for both oral presentations or posters should consist of 300 words with 4-5 keywords stated at the end of the abstract. The abstract must be comprehensive and must state the goals of the study, methods used, results and main outcomes in sequential order. You can also present a graph or a table to emphasize results which will not be counted towards the word limit. The abstract must be referenced.
  •  References should be in the Vancouver style. Further details of Vancouver style of references can be found at the following website: https://endnote.com/style_download/vancouver/
  •  A well-written and presented abstract will help in its assessment and selection for inclusion in the conference program.

Date of submission of abstracts for oral presentation or scientific posters

  • Beginning of receiving all abstracts: 15/02/2024
  • Deadline for receiving all abstracts:  15/04/2024
  • Date of announcing the acceptance: 01/04/2024

Confirmation of receipt of the submission of the abstract and the acceptance notice

 The submission will be confirmed automatically via the e-mail address of the colleague submitting the abstract.

Please note that you will need to first register for the conference and then register for the submission of the abstract as these are being managed separately.

The accepted abstract can be presented by one of the authors, who must register to attend.

Technical Requirements PowerPoint Presentations

  • Make sure your PowerPoint presentation is in 16:9 ratio (1,920 x 1,080 pixels).
  • Videos must be embedded in PowerPoint.
  • Do not use links to YouTube or other webservices in your presentations.
  • If you use fonts not included in the Windows 10 system you should send them ahead to our Technical Team together with your presentation on [email protected] at the latest.

 

Technical Requirements Video Formats

  • Resolution: 1,920 x 1,080 pixels.
  • Frame rate: 25 or 50 fps.
  • Bitrate: approximately 10,000 kb/s is enough.
  • Compression: H.264.
  • Please only submit .mp4 files.

 

Technical Requirements Audio
 

  • Resolution: 16-bit.
  • Bitrate: 192–320 kb/s.
  • Sample frequency: 44,1 kHz.

 

GUIDELINES FOR POSTER PRESENTATION


Layout and Format

  • All posters need to be developed using the conference template. Please download it before starting to work on your poster.
  •  Each poster session presenter will be provided with a 1,000 mm (width) x 2,000 mm (height) poster board (poster dimension according to A0-format) and an ample supply of push-pins.
  •  The board will be labelled with the preassigned STS ID-number.
  •  Please observe that all posters should have a portrait layout in order to fit the poster board, and be in the format (width x eight) 841 mm x 1,189 mm. This template is in the right format with space for your poster number.

 

Uploading Your Poster to the Meeting Web page

  • It is important that you send your poster to the email [email protected]
  • the conference webpage in order to have it accepted
  • Please note that the last day for sending your poster to the conference email is 30-03-2024

 

Poster Presentations

Throughout the meeting there will be poster session planned.. The poster exhibition will be located in a special venue. You will be informed of the venue when you are scheduled to present your poster for attendee viewing. It is important that you are present during this time slot, in order to answer any questions.

Authors are also encouraged to bring reprints for distribution during the sessions and may also bring sign-up sheets for attendees who wish additional information.

The poster presentation should cover all key aspects of the work and contain the following items, where applicable:

  • Abstract
  •  Introduction
  •  Materials
  •  Methods
  •  Results
  •  Discussion
  •  Conclusions
  •  References
 
Recommendations
  •  Results presented in the form of figures, diagrams, graphs etc. are preferred but may be presented in clear, concise tabular format.

  • Statistical data should be titled and summarized in a clear, concise format.

  • Materials should be displayed in a logical sequence from top left to bottom right. Number all po
