Overall responsibility
Support and provide guidance to students regarding their rights as outlined in the university bylaws and regulations.
Membership
Must be approved by the Department Council
Frequency of meetings
At least one meeting per semester

Terms of reference
The functions of the Student Rights Committee are to:
  • Raise students’ awareness of their rights as per the university regulations.
  • Consider students’ complaints received by the Department of English from the Deanship of Students’ Affairs via Masaar.
  • Hold meetings with committee members to discuss students’ complaints.
  • Contact students to provide the committee with evidence proving the validity of their complaints.
  • Ask faculty members to address their perspectives regarding the complaints filed against them.
  • Propose recommendations and sending them to the Head of the Department to complete the required procedures.
