Under the auspices of Her Excellency Dr. Nuhair Taha, Vice Dean of the College, in the presence of Their Excellencies the vice deans of the college, heads of the departments, and faculty members, the Department of Basic Sciences conducted an awareness campaign entitled, "Don't Wait for Symptoms... Have a Checkup Now". The campaign was held # on Tuesday, 22 October 2019, at the Adham University College, on the occasion of the Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The lecture was presented by Ms. Noura Al-Qarni, a lecturer at the Department of Science, in cooperation with Zahra Association for Health Awareness of Breast Cancer and Support for Sick and Recuperating Women in Jeddah, and Sheikh Mohammed Hussein Al-Amoudi Center of Excellence in Breast Cancer. The campaign aimed to educate the audience on the importance and method of early self-detection of this disease. Cases were presented, in books and publications of the Sheikh Mohammed Hussein Al-Amoudi Center of Excellence in Breast Cancer, of prominent Saudi figures and their success stories in overcoming the disease.
