Dr. Bakri bin M'atooq Assas,Umm Al-Qura University President, witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the (Faculty of Designs) and (Institute of Research and Consultation Studies). The agreement was inked today at the President’s office in the University City in Al-Abediya. It was attended by Dr. Hani bin Osman Ghazi,  UQU Vice President for Development and Entrepreneurship; and Dr. Sohail Al-Harby, the Vice Dean of the Faculty of Designs; and Dr. Ra’ed Shalwala, the Vice Dean of the Institute. The MoU aims at achieving the fruitful cooperation between the two sides in the academic, scientific, educational, research, training and development fields concerning the different fields and programs of designs. The memorandum was signed by Dr. Hesham Maghrabi, the Dean of the College of Designs, and Dr. Ali bin Mohamed Al-Sha’ari, the Dean of the Institute of Research and Consultation Studies.

The UQU President blessed the step of the  College of Designs and Institute of Research and Consultation Studies, in the framework of cooperation between the university's different sectors. He highlighted that the MoU that was signed today will support the mutual cooperation between the two sides, contribute to developing the work system and academic, educational and research programs inside the university’s frames and promote its outputs. He wished luck and success for everybody and achievement of objectives.

Moreover, Dr. Hesham Maghrabi and Dr. Ali Al-Sha’ari expressed their gratitude and appreciation for the UQU President for his consideration, follow up and support for the university’s programs and its objectives, assuring that everybody is working for the promotion of the work system.

They highlighted that the MoU will contribute to achieving the mutual cooperation between the two sides in the academic, scientific, educational, research, training and cultural fields, in addition to working on developing the programs that are consistent with the national objectives for serving the educational and scientific process inside and outside the university, asking Allah the Almighty for help and success for everybody.
