I have the pleasure of welcoming visitors to the website of the College of Designs at Umm Al-Qura University. This website serves as a link between the college’s staff, students, and the community, with the aim of providing all the needed support and assistance and facilitating communication between the beneficiaries of the college’s services. Our objective is to enable the college to be a distinguished scientific edifice that effectively contributes to achieving the university’s vision and mission.

In pursuit of leadership and excellence, the college is keen to provide qualified academic staff who are capable of providing distinguished education, furthering development, performing effective scientific research, and developing and creating specialized educational programs marked with a competitive ability to meet the needs of the society and the labor market. The college also seeks to establish partnerships with community institutions and design, art and culture centers to contribute effectively to the development of thought and the community and the promotion of creativity.

In addition, the college contributes to the preparation of specialized administrative staff by providing them with all capabilities and encouraging them to enroll in specialized courses that will raise their level of performance.

Based on an educational and ethical system built on clarity and transparency and believing that the educational process is a lofty message, the college seeks to provide an appropriate environment for the educational process. This is in order for our students to obtain the highest levels of scientific qualification, in a spirit of belonging and giving, and to be encouraged to actively contribute to serving the local and regional community, both in the academic and non-academic fields.

Finally, I call upon every member of the college to be responsible and work with a team spirit, hoping that our male and female students take advantage of all the available capabilities. This is with the intention of being able to carry the message, achieve the vision of the college and university, and serve the country.
