Eligibility for Treatment and Mechanism for Opening a Medical File

The University Medical Center provides medical, curative, and preventive health services to the following categories:

  1. Saudi and non-Saudi students at all undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
  2. Official in-service and retired academic staff.
  3. Contracting employees who work at any administration affiliated to the university during their contractual period.
  4. Visiting academic staff, employees, researchers, and students.
  5. Family members of the academic staff and employees, who are as follows:

A. Saudis

  • Father and mother.
  • Wife or husband.
  • Daughters registered in the family ID of the employee or the academic staff member.
  • Children under 22 years of age.

B. Non-Saudis

  • Escorts of the academic staff member or employee.
  • Escorts of the non-Saudi students.

Mechanism for Opening a Medical File at the University Medical Center for Those Eligible for Treatment:

A medical file is opened for the eligible categories, according to the following requirements and documents:

  1. Saudi and non-Saudi students at all undergraduate and postgraduate levels:
  • University ID number and university card, national ID card, or resident card for non-Saudi students.

2. Official in-service and retired academic staff:

  • Affiliate number, national ID card for Saudis, or resident card for non-Saudis.

3. Contracting employees who work at any administration affiliated to the university during their contractual period:

  • National ID card for Saudis or resident card for non-Saudis, and any evidence proving the validity of the contract concluded with the administration to which they are affiliated. These documents are required to open a temporary medical file that shall be renewed annually.

4. Visiting academic staff, employees, researchers, and students, only during the period of their visit to the university.

  • National ID card for Saudis; for non-Saudis, a copy of the passport including the visit visa and the duration of the visit, in addition to a letter from the UQU administration to which they are affiliated, stating the duration of their visit to the university.

5. Family members of the official or contracting academic staff or the employees, who are as follows:

A. Saudis

  • Father and mother: Father’s family register.
  • Wife or husband: Academic staff member or employee’s family register.
  • Daughters: Academic staff member or employee’s family register.
  • Sons: Academic staff member or employee’s family register, or the son’s national ID card.

B. Non-Saudis

  • Escorts of the academic staff members or employees.
  • A valid resident card issued by the Passport General Department stating that the escorts are under the guardianship of the academic staff member or the employee.

Escorts of Non-Saudi Students:

  • A valid resident card issued by the Passport General Department stating that the escorts are under the guardianship of the non-Saudi student.
