Overview
The University Medical Center is considered to be one of the UQU's outstanding facilities. It provides therapeutic and preventive health services to all the UQU students and staff as well as those eligible for treatment at the University Medical Center. The center's services are offered through specialized clinics along with other medical support services that contribute to the integration of the medical care provided to the patients. These services also contribute to ensuring the quality of performance and the satisfaction of the beneficiaries of the medical services.
Medical services were first offered at Umm Al-Qura University in 1390 A.H. via a public clinic. In 1406 A.H., the clinic was changed into a medical administration equipped with different medical devices and was provided with medical staff from different specializations. This was to enable it to offer medical services to the UQU students and staff as required.
In 1428 A.H., the name of the medical administration changed to the University Medical Center in order to undergo further development, to provide further support, and to enhance the level of performance, aiming to offer optimum medical and educative services to all the UQU students, staff and family members eligible for treatment at the University Medical Center.
