The academic advisor acquaints the students with the college, its deanship, and supportive departments, and how to obtain its services in cooperation and coordination with the specialized administration in the college. The academic advisor also educates the students about the academic difficulties that they may face, and how to prepare study plans and schedules.
Student responsibilities:
- Requesting advice from the relevant academic advisor during the add and drop period.
- Reading the university handbook and learning the academic regulations.
- Applying the study plan prepared by the college.
- Consulting the academic advisor and developing an alternative study plan, should new circumstances arise (such as withdrawal, failure, change of specialization) to ensure successful completion of all graduation requirements.
- Referring to the academic advisor and reviewing the rules and regulations in all matters related to the academic career path.
