Praise be to Allah, and peace be upon Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and companions:

It is our pleasure to welcome you at the University College in Adham on the occasion of the inauguration of the the University College in Adham.

The college was opened under a decision by the Higher Education Council taken in its 70th session which was held on 1/7/1433AH. According to the council's decision, the college includes the following departments: Basic Science Department (Mathematics, Biology), Computer Science and Arabic Language.

The council crowned its decision with an approval from the Saudi King in his royal decree no. 36696 dated 5/8/1433AH. It was announced in the litter sent by Higher Education Minister No. 17/A on 17/8/1433AH.

Few years later, we convened to celebrate the opening of this exemplary government facility which was equipped with the most advanced education technologies, tools and labs.

The University College in Adham puts an eye on playing the noble role of beacons enlightening the world with the beams of Basic and Human Sciences. It embraces three departments that grant its students the bachelor degrees in basic sciences (Mathematics and Biology), Arabic Language and Computer Science. The college's boy sectionis expected to start work very soon. It is scheduled to opens with the same specialties applied in the female section.

The homologous departments in both branches represent the key pillars for a scientific renaissance in various domains. We hope our high quality and special program would serve the labor market with qualified cadreswho have special potentials and skills to give a better example about the religion and homeland. It also intends to work as a research center for the whole province.

We are thankful for the long-awaited opening of the college. Thanks shall also go to the Minister of Education, his deputy and Umm Al-Qura University's Dean who spared no efforts to support the cause of this college and take our hand to realize the goal. He kept an eye on the development of the college and he should be praised for his efforts to gradually increase its departments.
