Primary Supervisor’s Role

The Primary Supervisor is a faculty member appointed to deliver the graduation project course, and s/he is the primary supervisor of the student.

The Primary Supervisor main responsibilities include (but not limited to) the following:

  1. Review and approve the research topic presented by the student.
  2. Present a list for the possible topics for the students; in accordance with the research field of the academic program- when possible.
  3. Provide consultancy and help for the students in planning and developing his project.
  4. Regularly meet up and work with the student on his project to review the dissertation drafts, and discuss the project proposal.
  5. The project (and hence difficulties that might face the students in their researches)
  6. Review and sign all project-related required documents.
  7. Evaluate the graduation project’s dissertation after review, and present it to the second and the third reviewers to comment and express their opinions on it.
  8. Present the updates to the Graduation Projects Committee along with any changes or difficulties encountered in the project.
  9. Participate in evaluating the final projects with the examiners.
