The department serves the society through several activities inside and outside the college, such as:

• Participation, raising awareness, and giving lectures in the international days for diseases (diabetes, tuberculosis, breast cancer) in hospitals and medical centers affiliated to the Ministry of Health.
• Participation, raising awareness, and holding activities in the international days for diseases (diabetes, tuberculosis, breast cancer) in schools through the activities of the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology for the fourth year of the College of Medicine.
• Participation, raising awareness, giving lectures, and holding activities in the international days for different diseases during the special days with the cooperation of the civil society communities, such as Shefaa and Eda’a Organizations.
• The department is a member in the Community Service Committee in the college and has a vital role in its activities.
• It participates with awareness videos about the different diseases on the website of the Ministry of Health.
• The department has a special page for spreading the awareness about the medicines on the social media platforms: Twitter and Facebook.
• It participates in the college’s community campaigns in the markets and complexes.
• It also shares pharmaceutical information through posters spread all over the college.
• Participation, raising awareness, and giving lectures to the volunteers for the medical service during the Hajj season, with the cooperation of Zamzam Association of Voluntary Health Services.
• It participated in the first conference for the clinical toxics, with the cooperation of Security Forces Hospital. It gave lectures about the symptoms and cure of the toxicity of the tranquilizers; the toxicity resulting from using medical herbs; and the symptoms and impact of the interactions between food and medicine.
