Automatic control plays a vital role in the advancement of engineering and science and constitutes an important and integral part of the manufacturing and industrial processes. For example, automatic control is important in industrial operations, such the control of pressure, temperature, humidity, viscosity and flow in the transformation industries.
The course on "Automatic Control" explains automatic control theory to the UQU students in order to provide them with the means to achieve optimal performance of dynamic systems and improve productivity.
The practical experience in automatic control is acquired from direct application of the automatic control theory. This can be achieved in the different practical training units available in the Automatic Control Laboratory. The laboratory includes some useful training systems that study fluid flow rate, gas pressure, change in temperature, position control, and speed.
The lab is used for graduation and research projects related to engineering control systems.
