The Refrigeration and Air‐Conditioning Laboratory helps the students to learn about the refrigeration and air-conditioning mechanisms and the methods of operation in the different operation conditions. This laboratory offers the necessary tools to provide the students with the theoretical and scientific knowledge related to refrigeration and air-conditioning systems.

Some tools focus on ensuring the efficiency of performance and outlining the refrigeration and heating loads, the rates of increase in humidity, and how to remove humidity from refrigeration and air-conditioning systems. The testing platform is used to examine the graduation projects and is available for offering short training courses on the design and operation of refrigeration and air-conditioning systems, the evaluation of their performance, and the simulation of any faults in the systems.

It is also available for conducting research and cooperative projects on refrigeration and air-conditioning systems with different industrial institutions in this field.
