Abstract:
This study aimed to identify the reality of using telegram learning communities to support the professional development of computer teacher’s. It was conducted with 258 female teachers in Riyadh. The researcher used the descriptive approach, and an electronic questionnaire was used as a tool for data collection. The results of the study revealed that the use of telegram by computer teachers in supporting their professional development was high, as the field of professional knowledge came first, followed by professional practice, and then professional values and responsibilities. The results concluded that the challenges that computer teachers face while using Telegram as a tool for their professional development were low. The results indicated that there are statistically significant differences between the responses of the participants about the total degree of the reality of using Telegram in the three areas according to their academic qualifications and years of teaching experience.
